Questions
Can Cursor trade on my Zerodha or Upstox account?
Yes, through Quantplay's MCP server. Cursor can read positions, holdings, orders, margins and option chains on Zerodha, Upstox, Angel One, Kotak Neo, Motilal Oswal, Alice Blue, Finvasia, Flattrade, IIFL and Jainam, and place orders only if you allow trading when you connect it.
What stops Cursor from losing money?
Stoploss, target and trailing stoploss run on Quantplay's servers and square off every open position once a limit is crossed, including positions the agent opened. They exit after the limit; they don't block orders. No agent can change your kill switch.
Can I connect Cursor without letting it trade?
Yes. Leave trading off when you approve, or use the read-only URL https://mcp.quantplay.tech/mcp/readonly, which has no trading tools.
Do I need an API key?
No. Cursor signs in to Quantplay with OAuth. Your broker's API details stay with Quantplay.
